QUESTION 3: Sir is my Janabah Gusl valid without performing ablution? In other words, can I pray (Salat) without performing ablution after taking the spiritual bath? Also, tell me how the Holy prophet (S.A.W) performed his Janabah Gusl?
Answer : Let me start with your second question and the link it with the first question.
Aisha, the mother of the faithful, narrated that whenever the prophet (S.A.W) perform the bath of Janabah (after sexual Intercourse) the first thing he did was the washing of his hands, then he perform ablution like that of a prayer, he then put his fingers in the water and rub the root of his hair with them, and pour three handful of water over his head and then pour water all over the body.
This is how the Holy Prophet (S.A.W) performed the spiritual bath.
On the first part of your question, you would have observed that the way the Prophet (S.A.W) took his bath, as narrated above, shows that it is very comprehensive than an ordinary ablution.
Therefore, if you perform the bath, without ablution, making sure that every part of your body has it share of water, with the intention of performing the Janabah Gusl, you can go straight ahead and perform your prayer or anything that you are required to do with ablution. However, the Sunnah of the Prophet(S.A.W) requires that you perform ablution during the bath, which gives you the licence to pray with it.
